Bob Cannon, CEO / Chairman
Bob Cannon is a 30 plus year veteran of the aviation insurance market in both underwriting and as a broker. He has managed coverage varying from light aircraft, corporate aircraft, warbirds, classic jets, and commercial airliners. Mr. Cannon maintains his involvement in many aviation related organizations. Additionally he served as Executive Director of the Aviation Insurance Association (AIA) for eight years. Mr. Cannon is a current pilot and owns a King Air C90, A36 Bonanza, and Pilatus P3-05.

Angie Harris, President
Angie attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach, FL) where she graduated with a degree in Aviation Safety and a minor in Human Factors. She completed internships with the International Standards Division at the FAA headquarters and with the Flight Operations Safety department at America West Airlines. She also worked as a FAA contractor performing certification flights aboard private jet aircraft throughout the country. Following graduation, she went to work for The Boeing Company as a System Safety Engineer on the Apache AH-64 attack helicopter. She spent a little over a year at Boeing, causing her to realize that she wanted to make a career change to a small company where she could work directly with aircraft owners and pilots everyday. Cannon Aviation Insurance has proven to be the perfect place for Angie to fulfill a passion for being closely involved with the aviation community.

Jim Bertko, Office Manager
Jim is a graduate of Arizona State University (ASU). He handles the billing, accounts receivable, and many other behind-the-scenes tasks at Cannon Aviation Insurance to help the business run smoothly. If you have a question about an invoice, would like to make a credit card payment, or would like to learn more about the different payment options that Cannon Aviation Insurance offers, Jim will be able to assist you with these matters.

Suzanne Neal, Renewal Coordinator
Suzanne has been in the insurance field for the past twenty years. For eighteen of those years, she worked at a medical malpractice insurance company for physicians and surgeons. She eventually found Cannon Aviation Insurance as the next step in her career progression in the insurance industry. Suzanne enjoys talking with our clients day to day and working on their policy renewals.

Anna Fraser, Renewal Assistant
If you have called Cannon Aviation Insurance, you have probably spoken with Anna. Anna is a Maryland native and grew up in the outskirts of Washington, DC. She studied foreign languages and humanities at University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA) and puede hablar espanol si necesita algo. She moved to AZ 2 years ago, where she discovered the Aviation Industry. Anna answers the phones and takes care of general policy changes and certificates of insurance, as well as serves as Suzanne's assistant on renewals. If you have any questions or need anything, you can feel free to contact Anna and if she cannot help you, she will make sure that you speak with someone who can.

Ryan Cannon, Chief Pilot
Ryan graduated from Valdosta State University in Georgia. He went on to attend PanAm Flight Academy in Phoenix, AZ where he earned his pilot certificates and ratings. He is Certified Flight Instructor (Instrument and Multi-engine) with over 1,500 hours total time. He currently flies a King Air, instructing students from China who are being trained for the airlines. He is also the chief pilot for Cannon Aviation Insurance, Inc., flying the company's King Air. Ryan is a licensed Property and Casualty agent and is experienced in the aviation insurance industry.

Richard Hess, Account Executive (Atlanta branch)
Richard is a 20-year Delta Airlines Captain flying the B-767 internationally. He served 28 years in the Air Force and Air National Guard flying the A-10, F-15, T-37, T-38, and C-141. He has his Airline Transport Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, and Flight Examiner ratings. Richard is also an approved instructor for many warbirds, both jet and prop aircraft and specializes in Russian and Chinese aircraft. With over 19,000 flight hours, he is also a licensed property & casualty agent. Richard is located is the southeast part of the country, where he serves the local aviation insurance needs.

John Makarounis, Account Executive
John attended Oregon State University (Corvallis, OR) where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in math. Following graduation he relocated to New York City where he spent ten years working in sales. Fulfilling his passion for aviation, he spent his days off traveling via the NYC subways and buses to New Jersey; earning his Private Pilot certificate in Morristown, NJ. After years of chasing his interest in aviation on the weekends, John gave up a career practicing Contract Law as an Arizona Realtor and jumped into a full time aviation career with Cannon Aviation Insurance where he now spends all day, every day happily talking airplanes with general aviation pilots, warbird owners, corporate pilots, air tour operators, former astronauts and anyone else willing to talk about aviation. John also flies his LongEZ to as many airshows and fly-ins as time allows. He looks forward to talking to you too.

Jack Thomas, Account Executive
Jack is an Oklahoma native, moving to Arizona in 1996. After successful careers in the Oil Field Services and Investment Industries, Jack decided to get back to his passion of flying which began in 1975. Jack holds a Commercial Rating, ASEL, AMEL & Instrument Airplane license. He also is Type Rated in the BE300.
